Message from the Principal

IHSAN EDUCATIONAL CENTRE

Ihsan Educational Centre is an Arabic-intensive educational system designed for serious parents who desire an Islamically-based alternative to the modern schooling system. All levels are available from primary to grade 8. The school is based on a traditional curriculum, which is aimed at providing students with the proper tools of learning before concentration on “subjects”. These tools can be classified as: having a strong base in language, how to use it, how to critically analyze information and how to express oneself elegantly and persuasively.

With these tools in hand, a student will then be ready to free-mindedly tackle any so-called “subject”. This is the basis of a traditional liberal education; to teach students how to learn for themselves. In contrast, modern schooling often overloads the child with nebulous bits of information from a wide array of subjects, while often failing to teach students how to lean on their own.

The students who will benefit the most from this program are those who have not yet entered a public school system, and still carry a motivation to learn.
